@Anonyvet In the southern US they have an silky-sweet expression “Bless your heart!” This is typically aimed at non-southerners and while it sounds lovely to any other southerner in earshot it means, “what an idiot this person is.”

@quixoticosis You are still miles ahead of human medicine where the norm is to not call if the blood work is normal. So you never know if the doc actually looked at it and it was normal or forgot and it may not be.

@greenwoodae To me we can’t bargain with anyone’s life. But in a country of individualists the number is one loved one. Until the objectors feel the pain personally they will continue to rationalize any number of deaths until they lose a loved one, but then it is too late.

@kmcsween When I was working a stint as a city vet, my farm dog got one in Bel Air, MD in the down town. The residents both 2 and 4 legged were shocked—country ruffians.
