♦️SUCCESS REPORT ♦️

The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department’s Tactical Response Unit (TRU), successfully intercepted a vehicle linked to multiple ATM scams. The suspects had attempted to evade detection by placing tape over part of their number plate.

Within minutes of a fresh scam being reported in Parkview, the TRU, guided by Vumacam’s LPR network, tracked the vehicle to Midrand. Officers moved in swiftly, apprehending one suspect who was positively identified and detained at Parkview SAPS.

The TRU continues to deliver decisive action to keep Johannesburg residents safe.

The MMC Public Safety ,Dr Mgcini Tshwaku has officially received another two fire engines, marking the second Delivary of the 4th fire engine out of the total of 16 purchased to address the shortage. The fired engines are equipment with improved high-pressure pumps for longer water reach suitable for highly dense informal settlements, foam systems, and modern communication tech, these engines will further improve response times and safety amid rising fire incidents. The rest of the fire engines are expected to be delivered on a monthly basis till completion.
