@bythewaybro People are also overestimating him. He’s the type of guy teams might target if he was DFAd, not via trade. He’s average defensively with 0 bat. He would take time to adjust to a new pitching staff too, so I’d find it hard to believe day 1 he’s an upgrade for another team
@whohay99@TigersData Carpenter and Keith are everyday players let’s be real. Are they all-stars? No. But they both are average players, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Neither should be getting platooned
@1kovacs You want to build around Liranzo? The guy hitting .220 in AA the last 2 years? And Lee and Anderson who are role players/AAAA guys at best?
There’s also a 0% chance Valdez is going anywhere. He was a FA until Feb for a reason. No team wants to pay that much for him now

@biasedastrosfan@SkubalsChangeup@BaseballWRLD_ Here’s the updated one, they are so much closer offensively than people think. Plus Dingler is playing gold glove caliber defense yet again. Nothing on Langeliers, he absolutely deserves to make the team, but Dingler is all-around the better catcher this year
@IYKbaseball No, he’s “penalized” because he’s had a very disappointing year. He’s playing significantly worse baseball and has been playing all season. He dropped because he’s shown signs of regression. Briceño hasn’t played yet this year, so why would he get “penalized” more than Rainer?
@BrodyMK64@broncobilly_7@nootsxx@FrancoisCorpel Easy there pal calm down. I literally gave Shea and Dingler praise? Dingler is still performing quite well, are you happy? I’m just saying, he’s underperforming based on how well he’s been playing. One of the downsides of playing at Comerica
@broncobilly_7@nootsxx@BrodyMK64@FrancoisCorpel I can’t argue that Langeliers has been the better offensive player. Looking at their Baseball Savant page though, Dingler has better expected numbers than him. Defensively, Dingler definitely clears. It depends what you value. It’s close, but I’d give Langeliers a slight edge
@NotSauer@TalkingFriars So if it can happen at any speed, why not run at a normal pace? You can get hurt anyways, so why not show normal amounts of effort?
@NotSauer@TalkingFriars But how would he have risked pulling a hammy? He didn’t have to run full speed to beat that out. If he ran at a normal pace he beats that out due to the bobble
@PatrickDLyons This post just shows deGrom is a significantly better player though? deGrom’s 2 CY seasons were better than Lincecum’s. Hell Lincecum was a 2 year wonder, he only had 4 maybe 5 decent seasons his whole career. Madison Baumgarner has a better argument than Lincecum
@TigersJUK It’s actually not ridiculous at all, they aren’t saying he’s going to be more valuable than Soto. Skubal will absolutely have more bidders than Soto did, because he won’t cost a team 4 top prospects. Almost any contender can afford what a Skubal rental would cost
@jFudgy_@clarkisking1 Baseball is played on the field, not on paper. Keider was dealing today and the Sox had no answer for him. Because analytics show a slight chance someone might be better? Do the analytics account for how well someone is playing at the moment?
@spacemnkymafia It’s truly something I’ve never seen before, especially for a power hitter. One of the only reasons you’re on the team is the power your bat brings, so why are you not even trying to swing at a middle-middle fastball in a 2 strike count? It’s beyond infuriating
@CoachAaronKnows If you’re going to make a crazy claim like this, you’ve gotta share the average number of arm injuries per team. I guarantee you Detroit is no where near the lead in terms of pitching injuries over the last 5 years
@OBs_Air_Horn@OdellBretthamJr Has MSU apologized to CMU for their ineligible player and recruiting BS? Pretty sure that win is no longer on the record books. CMU should avoid playing a classless team like MSU
