7th graders explored the Pythagorean Theorem with two hands-on tasks! 🔺📏
1️⃣ Building squares on each side length of a triangle and cutting square grids to uncover the relationship.✂️⬜️
2️⃣ Using Cheez-It to prove right triangles—making math so cheesy and so right! 🧀📐 😊

Exploring volumes in class! 📚 Kids discovered the volume of a cone is 1/3 of a cylinder’s by filling a cone with water & pouring it into a cylinder (same radius & height). Then, they moved on to a ‘Which is Better to Buy?’ activity—practicing real-life decisions with volumes! 📐

Collaboration and Discovery Learning in Action!💡

7th grade applied their knowledge of squares and triangles to solve the square-based pyramid surface area and derived their own formula! They understood the lesson before we even got to the notes! 📖 #ProblemSolvers

Ending the year with 'thank you gifts' to our wonderful teachers!! 6/7th grade artists painted, drew, collaged, & digitally designed photographs of the staff's pets & are gifting the art to them!
