Wisconsin teachers spend $750 of their own money each year to support their classrooms and students. Our Teacher Support Network is more essential than ever, and with your support, we can decrease teachers' spending. Donate now at https://t.co/6JUtQUswD6.

It would be great if property tax bills listed the amount of each tax bill that goes toward voucher schools instead of including it in local school district amounts. Doesn’t everyone want transparency?
Republicans are setting up our public schools to fail.
Example: private schools in the voucher program get 90% reimbursement for special education costs. Public schools get just 30%.
The remaining costs get taken from the general fund, leaving fewer resources for all students.
We keep dropping in per pupil funding (compared to the other states) as many districts go to referendums to cover basic costs while at the same time vouchers for PRIVATE (including religious) schools increase to further erode funding.
How does public education funding stack up in Wisconsin compared to the rest of the nation?
⚠️ In 2002, Wisconsin's K-12 funding was 11th best in the country. By 2020, we ranked below average at 25th.
