A tale of three Oblivions. After completing The Elder Scrolls V: #Skyrim, in a nostalgia induced whim I ordered a second hand copy of TES IV: #Oblivion for the PS3(!). Funnily enough Oblivion was actually my 1st PS3 game, I last played it in 12/2008. Still had the saves, too!

Just like Oddhop, got the old Jewels 2 up and running on PCs, works in Linux too! This one took a bit more effort, do read the post if interested. Happy to have these two games now playable once again. 😀 #gamedev

Ten years later, one last hurrah for our forgotten puzzler Oddhop! It's now available for PCs as freeware! Works in Linux with wine, too. #gamedev

Resurrected my 10yr old game Oddhop. It was a mobile game that has been long gone from app stores. Wanted to preserve it for archival purposes, so I'll be releasing it as freeware Windows-build. Works in Linux w/ wine, too. Guess I'll play the puzzles again, been years!🥲#gamedev
Had to boot into Windows for this (hnggghhh...), Unity 5.x didn't have Linux-editor available! 😅 Was pleasantly surprised to see my old Pro-license was still working. Didn't bother updating the game to newer Unity-version, 5.3.7 worked fine.

Can't really beat the form factor!
Single-channel RAM is also an unwelcome sight, but with the supply being what it is, what can you do? Still an interesting piece of machinery and is to be complimented on bringing Linux gaming forward. 👍 [2/2]
#SteamMachine is out! Shame about the pricing, thanks to AI bros... 🙄 I was mildly curious about getting one, but with the unfortunate pricing, gonna have to pass. I do most of my gaming on Linux PC anyways, but for living room this would've been nice next to PS5. [1/2]
As promised: a new blog post detailing my "switching to #Linux experiment" after one full year of usage. TLDR: It's been pretty good! 👍😀

A year ago I installed #Linux on my main PC and switched. Having now spent ~98% of that time in Linux it comes as no surprise that I've been really happy with the switch! Some issues, but overall very nice. I'll try to write a blog-post about this.
5/5, would switch again! 👍
The gears have been set in motion: ordered a new NVMe SSD for a #Linux install on my main PC (desktop). Going with a dual boot (for now). Seems that most, if not all things I require for work can be done in Linux. Will be interesting to see how it goes! 👀
"Aw shit, here we go again..." My failure during #PathOfExile2 free weekend started bugging me, so went and purchased the early access key. 😬 Maybe I can fix the druid build or just roll a new character, still in Act 1 after all.. 😅 (But I'll go and finish Phantom Libery 1st!)

Time to call it quits, I think. Can't seem to beat the Act I boss! 😅 My build is likely utter shit, just realized I don't even have any cold resitance... Oh well. Started dying a lot in these last few areas, so no wonder the boss isn't that easy either. #PathOfExile2
Finished #Cyberpunk, started Phantom Liberty now. Really good game IMO; maybe not entirely what it was hyped to be, but solid. The highlight for me is the superb aesthetic that nicely captures the Blade Runner vibe!👌As a life-long BR fan that's a huge bonus. GG, will play again!
Related to the GPU change, finally started playing #Cyberpunk2077! Bought it on release day for PS4, never played as it was half-baked. Waited for PS5 version but somehow never got around to it. Now playing on #Linux PC! 👌🤘

Forgot that Cyberpunk supports FSR4 by default. Got it working in Linux with an env var launch param, didn't need Optiscaler for this. 👍 After quick testing upscale quality seems much better compared to FSR3, nice! Won't be missing DLSS as much now.. 😅

As GPU prices may go up soon (hopefully not as much as RAM, ouch!💸), bought a 9070 XT from Black week. #Linux driver support is better on AMD, but TBH wasn't too bad with my old 4060 Ti. Nice speed boost in games, even if RT stuff is slower than Nvidia. Uses way more power tho..
Undervolting helps, got better perf for 50W less power than stock consumption! Still, with the extra oompf -> more heat in the case compared to my old card. Happy with the switch so far, even if RT and DLSS are better on team green. Should try #Optiscaler to get FSR4 working.. 🤔
Been updating my #GodotEngine impressions list. One recent gripe: feels counter-intuitive *not* having UI Control pivots as proportional to the control size. E.g. set pivot_offset (0.5, 0.5) to always center, no matter the size. But need to set pivot_offset = size * 0.5 instead..
