🇦🇪 The United Arab Emirates, widely reported to be arming and financing the Rapid Support Forces throughout Sudan’s war, have issued a statement expressing “deep concern” over the escalating fighting around El Obeid.

The country calls for a humanitarian truce, civilian protection, and safe aid corridors. The statement casts Abu Dhabi as a neutral peace broker, even as the RSF continues to mass forces around El Obeid despite repeated warnings from western governments that an assault on the strategic city could imminently result in mass atrocities.

🔸 The UAE also urged both warring parties to allow civilians to leave conflict zones and permit unhindered humanitarian aid.

🔸 It called for a permanent ceasefire and a civilian-led political process in Sudan.
