@ndpcaucus@UAsagwara From “Neighbour recounts helping Winnipeg boy attacked, injured by coyote” https://t.co/Yu7qUNj3PM … “Our health-care system is broken and isn't robust enough to handle one serious injury in a timely manner," wrote the family, who asked for privacy and declined an interview.”
“They’ve done too much damage in both areas to convince Manitobans if re-elected they would provide hospitals and public schools with sustainable funding. Given their record over the past seven years, it’s simply not believable.”
No elected official has ever been accused of anything remotely on the scale of what Donald Trump has been charged with.
His prosecution isn’t a witch hunt. It’s a defense of our democracy.
Don’t believe his lies.
Healing health care? Premier Stefanson’s PC government closed 3 emergency rooms and ICU’s in Winnipeg, stopped construction of hundreds of long term care beds, and canceled a planned expansion to cancer Care. This government is destroying health care in Manitoba.
@jfinch@WinnipegNews I agree. This current government has diverted 1/2 billion dollars in education funding to buy Manitoban votes and they remain second in the polls. I don’t think a million dollar ad campaign will provide enough good spin.
@timekeeper1999 @lsf58 So you’re more of the mindset that giving Loblaws and a billionaire owner a $325k refund will keep us way more competitive than helping disadvantaged school children from getting consistent meals and performing better at school?
@timekeeper1999 @lsf58 Actually MB Con education tax levy refund benefits the rich most.
“The top 10 per cent of education tax rebate recipients in the Manitoba capital pocketed four times more cash than owners in the bottom the bottom 10 per cent.”
@jfinch And yet there still seems to be enough people out there who would rather see huge tax refunds to wealthy property owners, than a few more children get fed to have more productive days and more successful outcomes at school.
I listened to all four hours of Pierre Poilievre's fake filibuster, here is what I learned: He is a fake populist whose only aim is to make the rich richer at the expense of the rest of us, particularly the poorest & most vulnerable

@WeThePower1@WabKinew The MB Cons have “reduced” (actually only temporarily rediverted) taxes, but who has this helped?
“A CBC News analysis done in 2022 determined the owners of Winnipeg's most expensive properties reaped the greatest benefits from the tax rebates.”
@WeThePower1@WabKinew People are concerned where $30 million might come from annually, but are giving no thought to how the 1/2 billion in education tax levy refunds will be financed in the future.
@KierWiens@WabKinew The majority of Manitobans are of the opinion that money and opportunity is being wasted by the MB Cons trying to get your vote this election. https://t.co/UOWZ2s2qQN
