Deputy Wallace came to our classroom today and read the book, “Say Something.”It was so AWESOME having him read to the kiddos and talk with them about expressing themselves through thoughtful words, feelings, style, and creativity. @MarshvilleES_NC @UCPSNC@AngelaFoster71
Amazing math lesson in first grade! Taking problem solving to the next level using the numberless word problem strategy and retell to understand addition and subtraction word problems. @MarshvilleES_NC @AngelaFoster71 @Renee_McKinnon1 @AGHoulihan
Why should more teachers run for office?
- They are actual public servants.
- They are truly selfless.
- They are experts in dealing with various mindsets.
- They can accomplish the most w/ few resources and no support.
-And teachers can handle ANYTHING.
Congratulations to Mrs. Carla Diaz! She is our 2020-2021 Marshville Elementary School Teacher of the Year! @AGHoulihan @MarshvilleES_NC @Renee_McKinnon1
Ms. Hoover used Whole Brain Teaching strategies, Math binders, and Math notebooks to teach her 1st graders to use the ten-frame tool for counting on and early subtraction. Students subitized, explained their thinking, counted on, decomposed, and interpreted word problems!
