Majchrzak had a dream week in ’s-Hertogenbosch, winning his maiden ATP title and beating three top-10 players along the way. An incredible achievement — hats off to the Pole.
However, the tour grind never stops, and with just one day between tournaments, he now faces another elite grass-court player in Lehecka on Tuesday in London. That feels like a very quick turnaround, especially for someone who isn’t used to making deep ATP runs on a regular basis.
There’s no doubt Majchrzak overperformed last week, but expecting him to immediately reproduce that level at a different country, on different courts, and with barely any time to recover is a huge ask but looks like the market hasn't adjusted to it.
Just a few days ago, Majchrzak was priced at roughly a 30% chance against players like Aliassime and De Minaur, yet now he’s being given around a 38% chance against Lehecka. That feels like a significant adjustment based on one hot week, especially considering the circumstances are arguably tougher now, as mentioned above.
Kirby's name is doing more work than his recent innings.
He has allowed 17 earned runs and 30 hits over his last 21 innings. That is a lot to carry into a near coin-flip price at Camden.
Young is giving Baltimore the cleaner recent path. He has worked at least 6 1/3 innings in three straight starts and allowed five earned runs across 19 2/3.
Seattle already took the first two at Camden. Tonight still starts with Kirby having to clean up traffic, and Young giving Baltimore length.
I will take Baltimore at this price.
If you need trading ideas here’s a cheat sheet I made and sent out last night.
(As always NFA & I could be in several of them or none of them at any time)

9 years ago today, Dee Gordon delivered one of the most emotional moments in baseball history, a leadoff home run in the Marlins’ first at-bat after the passing of José Fernández.
It was Gordon’s only homer of the season.
