@ArrivaKent what route is the 277 following with Ferndale being shut?
I've not been able to find any info about it. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks.
@ArrivaKent Hi Lillian
The nearest stop to The Robin Hood into and from the town. Ordinarily, the one at The Beeches (adj) would be used, but that's towards Ferndale.
Thanks
@BarackObama Sir, would that every leader had your desire for genuine connection with their electorate, and your humility to confess how the plight of those folks moved you to tears.
I pray God's blessing on you and yours as you engage with the challenges faced by the American people.
@SteveKills@sewateruk They need to keep the ban in place as they can't process the raw water fast enough, at least in Tunbridge Wells. Their Pembury works doesn't provide enough for average daily use, let alone hosepipes on top of that. Check https://t.co/mc5qnlDEde
I'd love to see that network wide.
Dear Ms Antoniazzi
I have been told by my mother that had abortion been available in 1961 as it is now, not as your Bill proposes, I would not be alive.
She was married to my father, and she was not taking precautions as she believed breastfeeding my sister would prevent pregnancy.
I would be happy to discuss with you, at your convenience, the list of things that would not had happened had the extant abortion laws been available and ask you to extrapolate the impacts of that. Best Regards, @mhwalmsley.
With the £136M in fees and the £364M competition paid to 30/09/2024, the cost to the taxpayer is £500M due to PREVENTABLE software defects. This is on top of the delivery costs.
I know as I was using prevention methods in a software company BEFORE the Horizon contracts were awarded!
Billions are wasted and it has to stop.

Add to the £136M in fees, the £364M competition paid to 30/09/2024, that is £500M due to PREVENTABLE software defects.

The Courts replacement system is going the same way.
Billions are wasted, lives ruined, and it has to stop.

Thank you for your commitment to seeing justice done for the Horizon Sub Postmasters.
Please consider the following article and the fact that BUG PREVENTION techniques were available prior to Fujitsu being awarded the contracts.
Legal action?

On @TimesRadio at 4pm we have an hour long special marking a year to the day since the first ep of Mr Bates drama was broadcast. Exec producers Patrick Spence, Natasha Bondy and I will be joined by former minister @kevinhollinrake @CastletonLee OBE and…
In software, planning and building are not separate activities. They happen concurrently. Any metaphor that assumes that planning and building _are_ separable is flawed, IMO.
Just before I leave the Post Office Inquiry hearing ante-room, a quick note about this QR code, Wendy Buffrey asked me to share this more widely. It’s an initiative by The Post Office Horizon IT enquiry to get more experiences on the record.
Alternatively, "It was caused by inadequate (analysis|testing|backout planning|configuration checking)."
Select the appropriate underlying cause.
Given that they have more than adequate data, which could be suitably annonymised, to run as a regression vs a test environment, it is likely to be down a cost vs risk assessment which they got badly wrong.
It would be interesting to know how many customers they lose over this, the impact on income, and whether that lost income would be more than the projected cost of avoidance. One suspects we will never know.
The reason it angers me so much Mick is the preventable nature of the original defects, as described in my LI posts, irrespective of the abject horror show they resulted in. Defects were found and reported, even though they were ignored, but I remain convinced their prevention, along with all the ensuing and on-going tragedy, was possible. 😢
IT can fuck up large numbers of innocent people’s lives at any time. It is simply unacceptable to say “oh this might fuck things up for some people” and then proceed. It happened with Horizon. We still haven’t learned.

Testing anyone??
The following was the Subject in an email from a major bank which arrived in my inbox this morning.
{[Candidate.first_name}}, it's Gender Equality Month, International Women's Day and Video Interview tips
It's somewhat irritating since I've also received a "Thanks but no thanks" from this same organisation for roles I have done in other organisations for years.
Perhaps the "more suitable candidates" could be asked how they, collectively, let this one out.
Perhaps the process of sending these was farmed out to an organisation that doesn't consider the reputational impact on the client?
Testing anyone?? DM me if your organisation needs help.
