@BLAMElTONYOU@needtcknow it's up to you to interpret it honestly, it doesn't have to have an answer to everything
it ain't a perfect movie but it works
@kcrdr7322@hot_pancakes2 The movie has many flaws, but it gets deeper than the mere "here's what the backrooms look like with a 10 million dollar budget". He uses them as a storytelling tool, a metaphor for mental well-being and trauma, and doesn't expand on basically anything, there's no spoon feeding
@dilf_wannabe @casstlefreak practically nothing, you can interpret the things Kane wanted to convey throughout the characters, and you kinda get what you can find in there and why, but that doesn't at all explain what they are, where they are, and if its contents are ever changing or just "exist" like that
@theclouwd yea the found footage stuff and the entering of the backrooms were honestly the best part about it
when I saw the creatures in the final act I smirked a little, you can clearly see they weren't the most important part and the budget went all into the scenography
@aliaoftheblade he's literally 20, and directed the movie when he was 18-19. I think it has MANY flaws, and the last act was maybe the worst out of the three. He needs practice as a director, but for his first movie he did a damn well good job.
@DillyDallyD0lly@finalgirlsonia Partly agree on that, but I think the movie has flaws other than that specific turn of events. I disliked Clarke's info dump at the table, and Mary's chase sequence was honestly worse than Clarke's (maybe because his sequence was found footage). Other than that, solid
@SpicyWasabi200@tloasg oh it does
people just purposefully ignore the last sentence of the original post because "muh fav creepypasta can't include basic horror tropes"
@poems_past I'm thoroughly convinced this dude has some kind of depth perception problem, and doesn't want to admit it, and it could totally explain his constant failures in platforming. He also sucks ass at gaming.
