Finally! @IMFNews has approved US$174m Extended Credit Facility for #Malawi. With it comes @WorldBank’s US$60m Trade Finance Facility, US$217m & US$250m towards Agricultural Commercialisation Project. US$70m & US$30m budget support from #EuropeanUnion & @AfDB_Group respectively.
The Ministry has today received WASH supplies worth about 4.5 Million US dollars from @MalawiUNICEF with support from the Canadian Government.

Three days ago, I was in Ethiopia under the aegis of the World Bank Group, where I attended the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) leadership summit for Ministers of Water and Sanitation from Southern and Eastern Africa.
Today, the President of the Republic of Malawi, @LAZARUSCHAKWERA presided over the launch of Mangochi Potable Water Extension Project.
The project stretches over 50km from Mpondasi Area to Nkakataka turn off, and will benefit over 90,000 people.
