@lizrocknroll Foreign cultures are insulted by Korean dramas and they pretend to be oblivious. Now, when it's internal insult, it becomes a matter of national defense.
What HR asks for = Payslip
What HR actually wants = Supporting data about your value
So instead of reacting with "red flag" or "I know my worth", take a breath & handle it like a pro. Here's how:
Try this instead:
"I’ve signed an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement ) with my current company so I can’t share my payslip, but I’d be happy to provide alternative documents to help assess my value"
That’s how professionals talk. Not defensive, not dismissive, just clear & respectful.
Here are solid alternatives you can offer instead of a payslip:
✅ Confirmation/Promotion Letter
• Shows your position, title progression & trust gained over time
✅ Retirement Contribution Statement
• A great non-sensitive indicator of monthly income
• NSSF (Kenya, Uganda) ,RSA (Nigeria) , Social Security, Pension Contributions
✅ Portfolio + Job Description
• Includes key responsibilities, KPIs & real contributions
✅ Letter of Recommendation (with role/title mentioned)
• Especially impactful if it comes from a direct supervisor
These give HR confidence to recommend you without needing your payslip. It also shows your initiative & transparency.
You are never obligated to share your payslip. But rejecting professionally (and offering alternatives) builds trust & gives HR the data they need, while keeping your privacy intact.
When you show maturity, clarity & class, your attitude becomes your strongest offer. Let HR see that!

If you live through life without the regular nawaafil prayers...
without witr, without dhuha, without reciting even a portion of the Qur’an daily, without morning and evening adhkār…
without seeking knowledge, voluntary fasting, voluntary sadaqah (charity), or any deeds that earns you the love of Allah...
then don’t be surprised if you lose happiness and peace in this life, and don’t be surprised if you stand empty-handed in the akhirah.
Allah rises people through different doors:
One through the gate of fasting, another through salah, another through charity, another through maintaining family ties, and another through striving in Allah’s cause.
The voluntary acts of worship build your rank in this world, in the loneliness of the grave, and in jannah.
Hold firmly to these acts. They are your stored treasures for this world and the hereafter.
DON’T JOKE WITH THIS DUA: Ya Allah, remove every barrier that stands between me and the things You have written for me. If there's any delay in my rizq, in my marriage, or in my peace, ya Allah, remove it with Your mercy, Ameen!
Nak buktikan apa tu tebuk hafazan kat concertlah?
Orang suka hiburan pun boleh hafaz quran?
atau
Hafiz/ah pun boleh berhibur dan berlagha?
atau
“don’t judge a book by it’s cover”?
DO YOU KNOW HOW ALLAH TALKS TO YOU?
You make dua. You cry for answers and guidance. You beg Allah to show you the way. But no voice from the sky. No miracle before your eyes. Just silence…..
@luxentX I got your point, but it's not Malay culture, it's just some people's decision and acceptance towards each other. But mine, I'm really careful with whom i will get married. And i found mine❤️.

You missed that job.
That person didn’t choose you for marriage.
The business deal fell through.
And now you can’t stop replaying it in your head. The “what ifs” are eating you alive.
But the Prophet gave us a truth that dissolves this cycle completely.
