Toxic culture is 10.4x more powerful than compensation in predicting an organization’s attrition rate! I hope museums are listening… https://t.co/s2cd585cPw
Women leaders have more engaged teams and drive better job performance. Millions of women left their jobs during the pandemic — which means companies are suffering as a result. https://t.co/5D0b7hO8VZ
"Museums are undergoing a major identity crisis — possibly the biggest identity crisis since their formation — a lot of this is stemming from a culture of fear, and a total dissolution of trust." – @mialocks, Episode 1 of #HopeAndDread https://t.co/y9jO632vH8
Forgot to share when this dropped because it was my birthday and I was busy celebrating myself (lol I was actually alone looking at art but hey, that’s celebration to some of us!). Anyway excited to share a bit about the work I’ve been doing with Museums Moving Forward…
In episode, “Infernal Affairs”--dropping today (2/2)-- hosts @charlieburns & Allan Schwartzman head inside the museum to focus on the power struggles between museum leadership and museum staff. #HopeAndDread

“we have a rampant belief in our sector that people from outside our organization/community/geographic area are somehow more knowledgeable and effective than the people in it. I am calling it the Outsider Efficacy Bias (OEB)”

For the first time since the board’s inception more than 150 years ago, the powerful L.A. County Board of Supervisors will consist of all women.

Yesterday I found a dead owl in the yard. It was really beautiful & sad. Felt strangely symbolic. Then I thought... RBG’s death...on Rosh Hashanah...Followed by an earthquake... Wisdom (the owl), death, & a rumbling of the earth. Renewal. Rage. Movement. A reminder to keep going.
“Just days before her death, as her strength waned, Ginsburg dictated this statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: 'My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.'”
A friendly little reminder from the wise bell books: “The ability to critique oneself and change and to hear critique from others is the condition of being that makes us capable of responsibility.”
I am SO VERY TIRED of misogyny. Thank you @AOC for standing up for women. I hope my daughter grows up to be even a fraction as brave and bright as you are.
Rep @AOC: "I do not need Rep. Yoho to apologize to me. Clearly he does not want to. Clearly when given the opportunity he will not & I will not stay up late at night waiting for an apology from a man who has no remorse over calling women & using abusive language towards women."
TWO THINGS: Can everyone just focus for a second on the fact that you aren’t voting for Biden as much as you are voting for RBG’s replacement? I realize there are ample divisions in our social fabric right now but can we on “the left” please just agree on that? And masks duh.
