Project Essence is an exciting new initiative. Its goal is to simplify the setup and operation of validators on the LayerZero network, particularly for smaller teams. Traditionally, this process has been complex and time-consuming, often requiring a dedicated team of DevOps engineers. However, with Essence, that's no longer the case. It offers a turnkey solution that can be set up in under an hour.

Project Essence will utilize the $ZRO token to incentivize validators. Validators who participate in the network and secure transactions will be rewarded with $ZRO tokens. The number of $ZRO tokens earned by validators will depend on the amount of staked $ZRO tokens they hold and the volume of transactions they process.

Realistically, if there are no technical issues causing a delay, we can expect the $ZRO airdrop to occur in Q3 of this year. 🪂
