@BCTransit Hi social media intern!
I want to complain about a Nanaimo Regional bus driver who engaged in disability discrimination by pointing at my mobility aid and saying "That's not allowed on here". I was eventually allowed on only after multiple people told off the driver
@echipiuk@RBC I'm shocked.
A private (not government) entity has the FREEDOM to do choose whom they will interact with. Or not. Freedom of association, right?
They exercise that FREEDOM, and you call it tyranny?
@OttoKurect@nourabinakhoul Given that embryos, at the specific moment in time that is conception, don't belong to any sex and do not produce any reproductive cells whatsoever...
Then everyone is defined as "neither"
@Bar_Burrito Pretty unhappy with the service right now.
Order for pickup placed at 17:21
Pickup time listed as 17:36
Arrive at 17:40. Am told my order is "almost done."
At 17:51, other staff and my name, says "oh ok" and then
*** starts PREPARING my order ***
30 mins late!
Moving to another server will leave it showing Unread.
This behaviour does not occur on Win10 app. Having both open, mobile shows the unread market, whole Windows shows nothing.
This only happens with one specific server, started June 23
@discord_support Android 14, Discord 235.18
One of my servers keeps showing the "unread" dot, even when there are no messages. Sometimes disappears, only to reappear later. Long press>Mark Read for the server has zero effect. 1/2
@PanfriedDilf@Press_X_Fool@IGN@Vesshubb Are you telling me that supporting law and order makes someone a Biden fan?
I guess that being pro-Trump like your means that you support breaking the law and being a criminal. Right?
@brandond_121 @SpookyCountry@NathanpmYoung@punished_stu@guardian So you're saying that my boss, who owns a house in the city, one in the burbs, a summer home back east, a vacation home in the Caribbean, and a lakeside cabin is somehow magically residing in all these houses at once?
Because they are absolutely 100% rentable if they are vacant
@NathanpmYoung@guardian Read the article.
More housing has been built. A lot more.
London has FAR more housing now, compared to in WWII, for the same population.
Why was it affordable in London 80 years ago, and it's so unaffordable now, with MORE housing?
Building more houses made it MORE expensive?
@NathanpmYoung @andgregor @guardian The real issue is not the houses.
It's the LAND.
Where I'm at right now, the property tax was assessed at Β£615,000
The house itself is valued at Β£6,000
The LAND is valued at Β£609,000
@NathanpmYoung@_____newt@guardian I'm renting a basement flat in a 3 storey house.
My rent is more than the mortgage on the whole house.
I can obviously pay a mortgage, but the banks won't give me one.
I cannot afford rent, and I do not like renting.
But it's the **only option**
@NathanpmYoung@punished_stu@guardian The guy who has all the chairs already will just outbid you and buy all the new chairs as well.
And then raise your chair rent.
