I think it's worth unpacking why a woman's positive traits and good things she has going for her in life are automatically seen as things that should be channelled towards motherhood. Like a good woman is "wasted" if she's not childbearing. It doesn't sit right with me.
Planting trees is certainly good. But it doesn't create a forest. Existing forests should be aggressively protected. There is NO substitute for a natural forest.
Also I am a firm believer in the importance of smiling and waving at little kids as you pass them, because the world is already scary enough when you’re small and new WITHOUT adults also acting like you’re either being a burden just by existing, or like you don’t exist at all
Actually the address was brilliant because I've never felt more socially cohesive with the rest of my country than in this moment of collective "what the fuck was that"
i'm fucking sick of this country being a lapdog for the american empire, every time i feel glad to be here instead of somewhere else it reminds me that we don't have shit to be proud of
I remember whenever I was late to primary school and I'd be like "my parents made me late", my teacher would say some dumb shit like "it's your own responsibility to make sure you're here on time" bro l'm 7 years old tf do you want me to do? Drive the car?
Bitch is the word women hear the most before being brutalized. It’s the label given to her as a justification for the violence she must now face and it’s one any of us could receive
