Some people really still don’t understand my stance on censorship in fiction.

I don’t care if you follow me. I don’t care if you’re a gazillionaire. I don’t care if you’ve supported me directly.

If you are for censorship and regulation in fiction, then you are not entitled to my respect.

I am a purist when it comes to creativity and lore. I am not on anyone’s side but a creators. My view is extreme, as some might put it.

If you try to censor for “sensitivity” reasons, you are filth.

If you try to censor for fear of “offending someone”, you are filth.

If you try to censor because of “ideology or belief”, you are filth.

Government censorship in fiction is trash tier behavior.

I am no longer willing to give an inch in “understanding” and patience. If a localizer changes even ONE WORD now, my hackles are up.

If someone wants to make fiction I don’t like, so long as they made it from the heart, that is all that matters. How it is marketed is completely different from what I am talking about. PERSONALLY I don’t believe anything should ever be marketed to children. I believe a comprehensive list of tags is all that is needed, and that includes western “ideology” tags so people who don’t want it, don’t have to engage with it. And the people who do, can find it.

But the moment those people say a creator has to change a game for them, that’s when I want to blast them off into orbit like it’s team rocket but never return. Make something new. Not change what exists.

From the catholic group NCOSE that hides behind a really good message yet calls for censorship instead of useful change like removing children from the internet, to left leaning and self described “progressives” who want to be “inclusive”, I don’t care who you are, or what you believe, or what you stand for.

Fiction. Doesn’t. Need. Regulation.

The market will decide success. But no person should be told they aren’t the right person to write something, that their fiction is wrong, or that they can’t draw something.

No creator is obligated to fill your shitty check boxes- if you want “representation”, go make your own thing. No creator started off as instantly great and a household name. They all came from the beginning- an idea. And the people butchering what exists with “edits” that are just tracing and selling ? Fuck right off you failures of the shopping cart test.

Stop telling someone to make something to YOUR specifications. Who the hell are YOU?

Engage in your imagination and make something new. It’s the most wonderful experience.
