The Lagos State Government has inaugurated a committee whose job is to pull down Peter Obi’s campaign billboards across the state.

What exactly is Obi’s offence?
Is it that he campaigns without thugs?
That he does not buy votes?
That he talks about production, not sharing?

That young people, market women, and first-time voters listen to him?
Removing opposition billboards while APC materials remain standing is not sanitation. It is fear.

A government that is confident of its record does not hide the opponent’s face. It debates him. It out-performs him. It does not send a task force after posters.

This political tension the APC is promoting will consume them. You cannot intimidate a people who have already made up their minds. You cannot cover every wall in Lagos and still cover the hunger, insecurity, and hardship people feel.

Peter Obi’s message does not live on a billboard. It lives in the hearts of Nigerians who want a country that works.
