As nursing is predominantly a female vocation if the RCN are not prepared to represent the interests of the majority of their members then nurses should be asking what is the point of the RCN.
Nurses should stand with Sandie Peggie and stop paying their subs, because they could be the next victim sacrificed on the altar woke.
If enough nurses walk they will either have to listen or go broke.
To be honest I get the impression that nurses would be better off creating a new nurses bespoke protection group as most unions are appear to be captured and no longer represent the interests of the majority of their members.
Isn’t this something the Darlington nurses are doing? I’m assuming the RCN didn’t provide support to them either?
Time for nurses to stand together and bin the RCN.
