Today, our beloved daughter, @KanyereDP, graduates with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. It’s such an emotional moment to watch your baby grow into a responsible young adult, ready to make her own meaningful contribution to the world. We bless the name of the Lord for bringing us this far, and we trust that He will continue to walk with her in all her future endeavors. I’m such a proud mum!

In 2024, the U.S. Department of State and the Community of Democracies launched the Youth Democracy Network. @MicBwambale is now running as the Africa & MENA Nominee for its Leadership Council. It has been a demanding campaign, requiring him to actively mobilise support from member states. Today is voting day, and I feel as invested as if I were the one running. As I reflect on the tremendous effort we’ve poured into this, we’re hopeful that the winds of favour will blow in his direction tonight. Viva Africa, viva! Viva MENA, viva!

How free are young people to organize, speak, and vote online in East Africa? That's the question we're digging into.
We're collecting experiences from youth in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda on digital rights and electoral participation, like internet shutdowns during elections, online censorship, access to information, and whether young voices actually reach decision-makers.
Your answers are anonymous and feed directly into research and advocacy aimed at protecting these rights and pushing for fairer systems. It takes just a few minutes.
