Citizens in Chandler, Arizona went to the local city council meeting to voice their opposition to Flock and other ALPR style AI powered privately operated taxpayer funded unconstitutional mass surveillance systems 🇺🇸

The city council voted to delay the vote on the system until July. They're likely counting on apathy so they can approve the Stasi style Police State system at that meeting but I'm hopeful the people will once again show up and oppose it.

Oppose any system that forcibly steals your money to fund a massive unconstitutional privately ran Police State surveillance system with 0 oversight and accountability accordingly...

@SecVetAffairs just announced the Department will “immediately initiate removal proceedings” for the federal VA employee who beat Gulf War Marine veteran Albert O’Toole.

This only happened this fast because people refused to stay silent. The sharing, the tagging, the pressure it’s working. Movement is being forced.
But “initiate proceedings” is not the same as getting it done. We’ve seen how these things can drag on for months while someone still collects a check.

Secretary Collins @DeptVetAffairs finish it. Cut the pay. Complete the removal. Permanently bar this man from any work with veterans. And do it fast.

This case also exposed a bigger problem. The Montrose home already had 47 complaints and 25 citations for abuse-related failures. Current oversight failed. That’s why there must be a full independent third-party investigation into all New York State Veterans Homes.

We don’t stop here.

We don’t move on.

We stay on this until the abuser is gone, until real accountability happens, and until these homes are properly investigated and fixed.

This is a disgrace.

A Gulf War Marine veteran named Albert O’Toole who served this country, took a blast that left him with TBI, and was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s was beaten by his aide Matthew Cox inside the New York State Veterans Home in Montrose, New York.

His wife Angela Sangro became concerned after seeing unexplained bruises and heavy sedation. She installed a hidden camera. The footage shows the aide yanking food out of Albert’s hands, grabbing him by the neck, throwing him into a chair, punching him, and striking him in the head with a broom while he cried out in pain. No one came to help.

The state fired the abuser.
But the federal VA? Still has him employed. Still paying him while the case drags on.

You make veterans fight through hell just to get the benefits and compensation they earned with their blood and sacrifice. You move fast to cut or reduce what’s owed to them.

But when one of your own is caught on camera assaulting a defenseless veteran? You keep him on the federal payroll like it’s nothing.
