Notre Dame in the last 5 years:
-National Championship Game
-Four 10+ win seasons
-Everyone wants their Head Coach when a NFL or College HC Job opens up
Notre Dame is relevant.
Hot take: not sure why people get upset about Notre Dame’s schedule. They play four Big Ten teams and six ACC teams — that’s pretty comparable to most Big Ten/ACC programs.
And Ohio State’s schedule this year? They played three ranked teams. ND played four. Maybe the bigger issue should be focused on the teams going 1-7 and 0-9
Miami was the more physical team tonight on both sides of the ball. Impressive performance from the Canes. I thought CJ Carr held up his end of the bargain. lots to build on, but this one stings.
I’ve never seen Notre Dame recruit at the level that they are right now
Don’t get me wrong, they’ve landed some elite recruits & have had some loaded classes
But what they’re doing in the 2026 class is noticeably different
Marcus Freeman and company are getting it done ☘️
Lincoln Riley asked to comment on Notre Dame vs. USC, per @petenakos: "We will at the appropriate time."
Marcus Freeman asked about Notre Dame vs. USC: "If it was up to me, we would play them every single year for the rest of college football."
Not cut from the same cloth.
Some bad moments last night for Christian Gray.
The toughest assignments can get the toughest results.
He also had three of the biggest plays of the season, of any season, to get Notre Dame to that point.
It was an honor covering @NDFootball during this run to the championship game. Their players, staff, and Coach Freeman handled every media request and every interview with kindness and grace. After interviewing Ohio State on the field, I was tasked with interviewing Marcus Freeman outside of their locker room after he spoke to his team. He was kind and patient with my questions, and then proceeded to stand in the hallway and watch Ohio State’s trophy ceremony from a television across the hall. He looked heartbroken and determined. Freeman and the Irish will be back. The look on his face said it all.
We can’t let the narrative on the Greathouse touchdown be hijacked.
Those defenders didn’t just “slip.” He burned 2 DBs. Broke the CBs ankles and then skinned the safety, sending him to the 5th dimension.
That’s all skill. #GoIrish ☘️
It’s really not talked about enough that Marcus Freeman has this Notre Dame team playing as well as they are with second and third stringers all over. Incredible leadership and props to the rest of the staff as well for getting kids ready.
