Victory Christian Academy of Chula Vista, CA attended the @ScholSeries and played in the OPEN Division facing elite competition every game. Being outsized did not matter as the team forced turnovers and its hard nose defense was a factor. This Varsity Team is the Real Deal, they have a deep bench & defensive minded players.

The team is led by (no particular order) 2026 senior class Isaiah Owens, Chato Garcia, Jayden Gray, Kaerym Araiza, Sammell Humphries it seems to be a recipe for success as Victory was locked in punishing teams with back doors cuts, traps, rim running dunks, 3 balls & team defense. Forcing teams to call early timeouts, it was great to see this team face elite competition and not back down to size or star power players. They finished the weekend going 3-1. It says a lot about what the future looks like for this upcoming basketball season. If you don’t have them on your radar in #SoCal then you need to add them as them look like an Open Division team. Time will tell what the Victory Christian Knights are all about as it’s high school basketball season soon approaches.
