@realswtheory I actually like the style of storytelling in #TheAcolyte so far. A murder/mystery, but more ?’s surrounding the characters involved than just a whodunnit.
Experiencing certain perspectives, but not given the full picture. Like trying to solve a puzzle, without all of the pieces
It’s been far from perfect, but almost all shows are. Some are more consistent, some have greater highs or lower lows.
Book of Boba Fett, IN MY OPINION, had the lowest moments and also incredible highs. Luke training Grogu. Cad Bane. Mando/Boba team up. Rancor riding. And more
Now with #Ahsoka I honestly can’t understand how people can look at this lineup of shows & say “recent Star Wars is garbage”. Yes, there have been missteps & everyone of these could’ve done some things differently… but there’s not one of these that I didn’t have fun watching.
#Oppenheimer is a MASTERPIECE! Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr and Emily Blunt are terrific, along with so many others who turn in great performances. The score. The editing. Christopher Nolan weaves it all together so perfectly. This film will be talked about for a long time
Rewatching the #ObiWanKenobi series. Yes, the Flea chase scene is goofy. Yes, the Grand Inquisitor’s head shape is odd. Yes, there are some interesting editing decisions and obvious budgetary constraints in parts. And yes, I absolutely adore this show. Will rewatch so many times
So many YouTubers said on camera “I LOVE The Last Jedi!” when it came out. But now say that film is “atrocious/worst Star Wars film ever/shouldn’t be considered cannon”
You can change your opinion over time, but to go from LOVING it to now DESPISING it, that’s not genuine.
Same can be said for ROS. It’s okay to not like a film, but the drastic 180 is different. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, other’s opinions (or financial gain) have caused many to go to such extremes, they no longer even remember their OWN initial takes about a film.
