Reflecting on our wedding reception from March 27th, 2025. It’s a joy to finally share this moment with our families on our joint page. We are beginning this chapter as Dr. Michael Thomas and Dr. Praisey Thomas (née Dr. Praisey Yesudas).

Throwing it back to nearly a year ago today, September 27, 2025!

I am so incredibly proud of my wife, Dr. Praisey Thomas, née Yesudas, for her impactful work at the "Healthy Woman, Empowered Family and HIV Awareness Campaign".

​As a Dentist and Medical Officer, she represented Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital (Sarkari Aspatal) in Itarsi, where her specific topic focused on debunking HIV myths and advancing safe lifestyle practices.

She did an amazing job explaining the types, symptoms, and precautions of HIV/AIDS, while strongly advising the community to adopt safe lifestyles and openly share any problems with their doctors or family members.

Just two days after we met, Praisey painted this for me. A canoe on an open sea. She didn't know it yet, but she was already painting our future.

It was meant to symbolize the journey into the unknown; even though there was a time of being alone, now there is 'us,' and we never have to be alone wherever we go.

Looking at this painting a few days before my birthday, on September 24th, reminds us that we don't have a rigid script for our destination, but we trust that God knows the way. A favorite piece from the archives.

Inspiring Young Minds at Royal Trinity School
​Under the inspiring theme My Dream India and the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which marks 25 Years of Service and Dedication, Royal Trinity School hosted a grand national-level drawing and speech competition. Students brilliantly showcased their creative vision and passion for a developed India by 2047 through vibrant artwork and powerful speeches.

​The event was graced by the school Chairperson, Dr. Matthew K. Thomas, Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas, and Principal Pinki Rajput, encouraging students to champion the spirit of Together with everyone, development for everyone, trust of everyone, and efforts by everyone. Certificates were distributed to all participants to honor their talent and dedication, with warm congratulations extended by Dr. Michael Thomas and Dr. Praisey Thomas, née Yesudas.

As Chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health, and a Mayo Clinic-trained specialist, he recently crossed 5,050 robotic surgeries, placing him among the top robotic surgeons worldwide.

​Coming to America as an immigrant, he faced the immense challenges of building a career from the ground up, studying nonstop from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for his boards. With a meek heart, he has navigated not only deeply complex medical cases throughout his career, but also the quiet undervaluing often found in institutional corridors, always choosing to let his excellence speak for itself rather than seeking applause. ​

Because of that deep humility, if you met him in person, you would never guess the weight of what he has walked through or the magnitude of his global standing.

Step back in time with us for our version of the '80s trend.

James 1:12 says “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him” (NLT).

The first reaction for many people when trials, tribulations, or setbacks occur is to ask, “Why me? Why did God give this burden to me? Why can’t I be as happy or as healthy or as financially secure as other people? Why couldn’t I come from a nurturing, functional family? Why do I have this dark cloud over my head? Why does life have to be so difficult for me?”

These are all understandable questions, but they reveal a shortsighted view of life. Our time on this earth is a mere instant, a blink of the eye, in the big picture of eternity. Certainly, the things that happen in this life have profound implications for eternity. But the things we endure are temporary.

The reality is that God uses trials, tribulations, setbacks, and challenges in people’s lives to accomplish His will. How He does it isn’t always apparent to us. When the apostle Paul asked God to remove an affliction from him, the Lord replied, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT).

That’s why our best response is to patiently endure what God allows in this life. Because our heavenly Father is gracious and generous beyond our imagining, our patient endurance through these temporary challenges and struggles will be rewarded for eternity.

Twenty-five years ago, America was changed forever.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives on September 11, 2001. First responders ran toward danger, and ordinary people showed extraordinary courage.

I was at Ground Zero two days later, and I’ll never forget what I saw. But in the middle of the devastation, I also saw people turning to God.

May we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and this truth: Life is short. God is real. Eternity is close.
