We are extremely proud of this young man, today he was awarded the Caritas Award for putting the people of our local area before himself. Over the Christmas break he gave up his time to litter pick the streets around school with his family. Well done! @STOC_CAT #STMICRE

Year 2 have been recalling their knowledge from Year 1 to name the continents and oceans. We have used the atlases to locate Norway, the UK, the North and South poles and equator. @STOC_CAT #STMICGEOGRAPHY

Year 2 have spent the afternoon exploring clay, they have been shaping and moulding clay. We have imprinted the clay with various tools and then used the skills of cross hatching and using slip to join clay to their pinch pots. @STOC_CAT #STMICART @kapowprimary

Year 2 have had a fantastic day with @alfrescolearn taking part in a Great fire of London workshop. We explored the houses of 1666 and even tried our hand at wattle and daub and built our our versions of the bakery where the fire started. @STOC_CAT #STMICHISTORY #STMICDT

The Laudato Si Ambassadors led an assembly today to introduce the @RSPBEngland Bird Watch 2026. We discussed why it is important to take part and how are data will be used. I wonder what we will observe in our school grounds. @STOC_CAT #STMICSCIENCE
