I'm proud to share that @Venga_App has been fully localized into Catalan and Spanish! 🚀

I said localized, not translated. What we did is much more than translation: every part of the user journey has been fully revised to be native #Catalan and #Spanish. From signing up and going through KYC, to the app experience itself, to our social networks, help center, and customer support, every possible step of the journey is native, and you will be reading or speaking to Venga's local team.

I also mentioned Catalan first on purpose. Since I moved to Barcelona in 2020, it's been my dream to build a startup that truly feels local. When I say 'local,' I mean an app that can provide services to local communities in the city where we are based, as well as to the region of Catalonia, and later expand to the wider Spain. We are lucky to be based in Catalonia, and today, approximately 25% of our team are Catalan.

Like all millennials, I grew up in an era of massive globalization, and I became tired of it. I believe that being local is truly important. I believe that honoring the local language and culture is a must, and that before going "global," we need to think "local." Venga started in English because my first language is English. But today, I’m proud to call Venga what it is: a local #Barcelona startup.

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼

One year ago, I was alone in the @venga_app Barcelona office. This year, we're 11 people in the Barcelona office, and we've tripled our global headcount to 66 people.

Headcount generally doesn't mean anything in terms of the success of a business, as we still have a lot to accomplish ahead of us in 2025. But we're going into the new year with a powerful position, both in terms of product and in terms of people and company processes, that will allow us to move at a hyper-growth speed.
