@PTC716 @GhostOP2024 @theficouple Right. But if it’s an affordable car, and intended for long-term ownership, financing almost seems like the better option. Why shell out a huge upfront payment for a used car when you can buy new at lower interest rates than a high yield savings acct pays.

@GhostOP2024 @theficouple Does that matter if you plan to own the car for its entire life? I bought a 2024 Toyota brand new and plan to drive that thing until it dies (hopefully in 15-20 years). I had a certain level of comfort spending an extra $5-10K to get a brand new, versus lightly used. Who knows…
