I have been pretty quiet about my work here in Ukraine for a variety of reasons so I will I’ll let this piece by the NYTimes speak for itself and down the road I will have more to say.
NYTimes Opinion piece focusing on the need for western governments to start funding in country training programs, featuring Michael Dumler of @task_force_31 and Erik Kramer, U.S. Army Special Forces, Lieutenant Colonel, retired Ukraine Defense Support Group (UDSG)

Had a lot of time to think about these two “peace and love” russians last night while their fellow countrymen continued to “liberate”Ukraine through mass destruction. You can read about it on my Substack.

Hi All, just released this free post outlining the Black Sea Ceasefire and how the Trump and Putin governments have basically tried to box Ukraine (and Europe) in. It was (another) betrayal of Ukraine where the US pretended to be friendly, but knifed it in the back.
“One of the most dangerous threats to democracy is not a tyrant, but the belief that resisting one is futile.”

There is an aggressor: Russia.
There is a victim: Ukraine.
We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and to keep doing so.
By “we,” I mean the Americans, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese, and many others.
Thank you to all who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who have been fighting since the beginning—because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, their children, and the security of Europe.
I will ask that you help us to share this message, donate if you’re able, and to amplify it so we can cast a spotlight on the need for lifesaving training for Ukrainians.

⚡️ 6 people killed, 8 injured in Russia’s attacks on Lviv.
According to Lviv Oblast Governor Maksym Kozytskiy, Russia launched four missile strikes on Lviv on the morning of April 18. Three of them hit military infrastructure, another — a car repair shop.
gm gm. A lot of what we have been doing we haven’t shared for safety reasons, but we have made some great progress. Tons of aid delivered and coordinated. New partnerships and a ton of supplies and gear headed to Ukraine soon.
This flag was given to me by a soldier from a unit I have had the honor to be delivering equipment and medical supplies to. Which basically resulted in two grown men nearly in tears. More importantly the Ukrainians never cease to amaze me in their resilience and strength.
