@themanion6661@tommorris32 He should encouraged to play county cricket for the English summer. Cam Green did well on the West Indies tour. In this series, he lifted his tempo at the very start of his innings compared but seemed to got out in his 30s and 40s.
@chickenuggets29 @f1trollofficial When Prost retired, he held the record for the most F1 GP wins at a time when cars unreliable. When he retired, he had the second WDC wins ever, Juan Manuel Fangio had 5, and Prost missed out on 5th WDC win by a 0.5 point.Prost also jad 5 WDC winners as teammates.
@f1trollofficial Which driver from this list has had most WDC title winners as a teammates? Prost. Prost had Lauda (3x WDC), Keke Rosberg (1xWDC), Senna (3xWDC), Mansell (1xWDC) & Damon Hill (1xWDC). Prost still won 4 WDC and had 51 wins (a record at the time). Prost & Hamilton is the winner.
@fictillius@kookcove@retrobike_c16 Doesn’t either TfNSW or Sydney Metro own the majority of the land immediately surrounding Cherrybrook, Kellyville and Bella Vista stations? I believe they do. Every other Metro station has development occurring at the moment.
@kookcove@retrobike_c16@fictillius My take is that this NSW Government wants to be seen doing something more than the previous government in regarding housing densification but not spend the $$$ on infrastructure. The LGAs pushing back because they want $$$ for infrastructure.
@kookcove@retrobike_c16@fictillius I lived the area for around this amount of time have seen the change.
Look at Rouse Hill/Castle Hill, the closet public hospital is at least 30 minutes away. It doesn’t matter if it’s Westmead or Blacktown hospital because they both take the same amount of time to get there.
@kookcove@retrobike_c16@fictillius Box Hill, Riverstone, Gables, Vineyard, Grantham Farm, Riverstone, parts of Schofields, Tallawong and Rouse Hill are still reliant on country roads infrastructure and yet had a lot of growth. Even Baulkham Hills has seen a lot of growth over the past 10 years. 2/2
@kookcove@retrobike_c16@fictillius I also live in the North West region, my take is that the boundary between Metro and Rural areas has moved two to three times in the last 20 years. The problem is the $$$ to upgrade infrastructure from rural to metro status has been slow in coming from the NSW Government. 1/2
@noreasonspec Definitely Blacktown and The Hills Shire LGAs have been doing the heavy lifting, which includes upgrading infrastructure from rural/country standards to metro standards. These upgrades cost a far bit of $$$ and can take 10 to 20 years to happen. 2/2
@noreasonspec Which is fine, but the NSW Government needs to provide infrastructure funding for the additional housing. The LGAs are responsible for all non-State roads, parks, sporting fields, bike/shared paths and etc. 1/2
@noreasonspec You also need to factor in that the areas south of the M2 got moved to the Parramatta LGA responsibility. The Hills Shire Council lost 30,000 residents to the LGA amalgamation process, and yet it still has the 2nd largest population across all NSW LGAs over the last 15 years. 2/2
@noreasonspec Except in this case, The Hills Shire LGA has done way more of the heavy lifting over the years than the NSW Government. The evidence can be shown in Google Streetview & ABS stats. The Hills Shire LGA has had the 2nd largest population in NSW. 1/2
@fictillius@ajmnsaus Is that a Landcom issue or the NSW Government constantly moving the goal post issue? I would say a bit of both, but more lately the NSW Government trying to move the goal post.
@fictillius@ajmnsaus In meantime, the North West Growth Areas has occurred and a lot of roads are still country roads. You have dangerous intersections that have not been upgraded, when they were just country roads 15 years ago. The rural boundary of Sydney moved but the infrastructure hasn’t.
@fictillius@ajmnsaus Historically, public transport has been historically poor in the region and never kept up. Yes, it now has the Metro but it’s going to take another 20 years for the transformation of Castle Hill, Hills Showground, Norwest, Bella Vista and Kellyville into proper TODs.
@disco___cat@fictillius Do you realise how many buses travel along Annagrove between Dural/Round Corner and Rouse Hill per day? Only 3 buses in each direction. When it comes to the outer regions of Sydney, public transport can be lacking. Which global city has this sort of challenge that Sydney has?
@disco___cat@fictillius Which other cities are trying to reduce private car usage? Remember that Sydney sits in the “Alpha +” category and has made significant steps in improving pedestrianisation of its CBDs and town centres.
@ajmnsaus@fictillius If you include Shared Paths then The Hills Shire Council is doing a way better job than most of the LGAs in Sydney. It’s still a bit of a challenge in some older parts of the LGA but there is about the LGA has spent around 15 years in the developing the Shared Path network.
