Since @jamestalarico won’t tell the American people the full story, here’s what happened:

Following Victor Martinez Nieto’s arrest, ICE processed his request to voluntarily depart the United States with his son, Liam, and they were removed from the country on August 25.

ICE does NOT separate families. Parents are asked if the they want to be removed with their children or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. In this case, both the father and son were deported together.

NOBODY is above the law. When illegal alien parents willingly choose to break our nation’s laws, they are responsible for what happens to their children – just as any U.S. citizen parent who breaks the law is when they are arrested.

Given my background and job history,experience….my gut tells me this probably is not his first incident of making a choice to commit criminal offense. The giving of false information when questioned my authorities fits a profile of previous illegal activities.
Most likely charge will be reduced from felony to misdemeanor plea deal should this be his first time being convicted.. life lessons learned the hard way are always the best teacher

First of all, you are basically being somewhat dumb for paying $2000 for rent when you can pay less than that for a mortgage. 2nd, if you are truly only making $18 and hour, then you need to upgrade you skill sets in order to secure a higher paying employment. 3rd, you did not state if you are married or have roommates for the $2,000 a month rental. It also would be helpful if you included what state and city you are referring to. I assume you left that out on purpose so fact-checking would not be available.
