@NKY_Leftist@rlperez4 This post is kind of ironic. You seem to think that it takes longer than it should to get an ID from the DMV (don’t worry everyone on the planet agrees with you), but why do you like the idea of having the government in charge of more things in our lives?
250 years later, the American experiment is still the greatest engine of opportunity the world has ever seen. It isn’t perfect, but I’d rather spend my life improving it than living anywhere else.
Happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸 we live in the greatest country in the world.
@Schornack Oddly enough I had this same thought the other day driving home from the office . Minnesota summers are peaceful though, so maybe it’s just enjoyable enough on its own .
I have found podcasts to be stale as of late though.
@ColtonJPL@drwconvexity@RoKhanna 2 things. You should start investing in markets. then you’ll be impacted positively by capitalism! I promise you that you know people who are. Anyone with a pension or a 401k is building wealth in the markets
Let’s pretend you’re right those 2 haven’t helped. What about Amazon?
@RepBeccaB Ask the welders in his shop. Once normal every day Americans, if they are glad he had a dream (& even then an insane amount of money allowing to try). He raises the people around him. As do a lot of founders & creators. You can try & stop progress or join and lift us all higher.
@drwconvexity@RoKhanna This is clearly evident by the fact that he has built 2 trillion dollar companies. Taxing and regulating high performers risks progress and innovation. I can’t decide if the left truly doesn’t understand it, or if the know the truth but it’s an easy sales pitch to stay in power.
Hill sprints are starting to look like hill SPRINTS again! So grateful I GET to do this.
You can live life with a “get to” mentality or a “got to” mentality—the choice is yours every day. Since last summer, I’ve gained so much gratitude for the things I GET to do again. When everything is taken from you and you can’t do anything under your own power, you realize just how much you took for granted.
For me: coaching practice, playing in the yard with my kids, watching them compete in sports—even doing hill sprints.
It wasn’t that long ago that I wouldn’t have been able to walk up that hill. Now, by the grace of God and the willpower to grind every day, I’m back to sprinting.
Stop taking things for granted and appreciate the things we GET to do.
@cryptobrian125@ScottyMc71@adamtirapelle@NDIWrestling It would be good if all teams could participate. I am just stating a fact that it’s not good for college wrestling when the best wrestlers in college don’t wrestle. I don’t think that’s a controversial statement. It would hold water in any sport.
@proudchicagoan@BStorm5 It is easy in MN to register to vote. We can do it same day. Shouldn’t really hinder anyone to vote I don’t think. Unless I’m missing something. Just providing context for your debate.
@keithellison I could be 100% wrong. I’m pretty ignorant, but my spidey senses are tingling. It seems you are anti anything related to election security. That’s alarming.
Bill Ackman on how to fix the student loan crisis in America
Worth a listen
"I would require the university to be the first loss lender. Imagine a $100K student loan. The university has to be the credit support
They have to be the junior most $10-15K below, and then they have to be very thoughtful. Because they lose the first dollar if the student cant repay"
