@mlbbowman I noticed that Hunter Greene has started throwing after what appears to be a similar surgery as Schwellenbach and Waldrep. Have either of them started throwing yet?
@_MikeVA I currently have Garcia, Shaw, & Lewis as 3B options and also have Encarnacion-Stand who should gain 3B eligibility this week. For roster balance reasons I need to drop a 3B to pick up a SP. Who do you like best for the rest of the season, Lewis vs Encarnacion-Strand? #AskMikeVA
@oldstyle_guy I turned big inning on and thought I was watching the Mariners for a while before I realized that was the Twins. Those uniforms threw me for a loop.
@FAmmiranteTFJ That makes no sense. He has hit the ball 111 mph (harder than last season in the second half) and, in the last week, is showing signs of hitting line drives and getting the ball off the ground. He still can hit the ball hard, which will convert to power.
@FAmmiranteTFJ Sure, but point is that the lack of power shouldn't be long-term. The shoulder injury was not major enough to require surgery in off-season. Even with struggles in the first month, he has hit the ball harder than in the entire second half, showing signs that power is still there.
@FAmmiranteTFJ True, but wasn't this bad in 2nd half. I would expect EV to be down following injury, but with no major intervention, e.g., It shouldn't zap his power long-term. His max EV for season with struggles is higher than 2nd half of 2023. He got in bad habits that he is working out of.
