@konichivalue@writerofscratch Although it's possible it was a scam, it's also possible that they used to have an English website and then abandoned it. In Japan and Korea, it's common for English 'translations' to be entirely different sites, even managed by different companies sometimes. A real headache!

@XephiroX@Dexerto In Japan, you tip your landlord with a mandatory 礼金 which is about 1-3 months of rent. And then you do it again (~1 month's rent) when you renew your lease.
