@joncbirder It's funny you should mention that. I used to know an engineer about 40 years ago. He used to complain that the number of concrete drives would cause the drains to be overwhelmed as they weren't designed for the extra water. The issue you mention above isn't funny.
@steve220459 Thanks for the work over the years. We took our young son to the NRM, I’m guessing he was three. Hours later we walked out with a happy boy. I have one small complaint. It cost us a fortune on the little railways of Wales.
@steve220459 I was there at the first steaming, and early on, Doncaster at the Deltic celebration day where I first saw your stand. I hoped you’d succeed. It seems to have worked out ok. Thanks. Any chance of doing a run through Milnthorpe Station? 😉😉😉
@raddledoldtart@tomemurtha Ta, that was quick. My best friend is an ex Scot in that his parents moved from Glasgow to Blackpool, accidentally buying a guest house.
@Birdwisenk Underrated bird. This year there’s some nesting in a sea wall. Another wonderful experience was seeing a pair taking their chicks to the sea. No water in river due to tide out. The tiny chicks were running after the adults. I saw them disappear into the heat haze.
Please do sign and share, it's a tragedy that it's even being considered.

Plans for a new 450-lodge holiday resort at Roanhead near Barrow-in-Furness will devastate nature including rare natterjack toads. https://t.co/RlKAvQHcL3
@Birdwisenk Yes. A few years ago I saw a pair halfway up a cliff. Possibly safe nesting place, but how short legged chicks got down? To be fair only about a mile from the sea.
@daikhood All completely wrong, that’s Athos. I was there at the time when a terrible actor put his tabard on upside down. Silly man. There was lots of laughing. I was convinced he’d put it on upside down on purpose. Howl we all laughed. Cheers Derek, you were great.
@RoryStewartUK I'd like to send a short letter to a man in Russia - A young man I know has a GCSE in Russian and he brought back a beautiful thing from Moscow. He doesn't hate Russia or Russians, and neither do I. Please be a nice man, to help Russians and lots of other people.
While driving to @Foulshaw2 Ospreys today, I was interrupted by this Osprey flying low, down the River Kent at Sandside. Tide out, but rough water so Osp quite low trying to fish. Just managed a photo, wonderful sighting. @cumbriawildlife@Cumbria@CumbriaBirdClub@LDBWSnews
