Words, words, words. I share the Prime Minister's concern. But for those of us who have watched anti-semitism become a feature of Canadian life in the last five years, this is not enough anymore.
@sekeresandprice Voting yes. They’ve failed him more than he’s failed them if it ends up being a no, either because they didn’t give him the chess pieces or didn’t give him the time/runway necessary.
Every single one of these: "he yelled at a backbencher, insisted on British spelling, told us he we had to come into the office, and insisted we not wear sweatpants" stories is going to gin his personal popularity up at least 5 points.
Stabbed/suffocated his kids (5, 8, & 10). Posed their bodies on his couch, fled for 10 days.
BC granted him a discharge. He was sorry for an outburst at his previous hearing. 2 yrs ago he was aggressive to female nurses.
He’s now ‘Ken Johnson’.
Might be at your park today.
"Last week, some MPs felt the prime minister’s message was that he’s not interested in what they have to say."
My guys, you ran the country into the ground for ten years. The time of other people being interested in what you have to say has passed.
Khazana has some of the very best food in the City. The roads around it have been a war zone of construction for YEARS.
The City can talk all it wants about downtown revitalization, but until they stop making choices that force closures like this, it’s meaningless.
The United Conservative Party supports neither Alberta Premier Danielle Smith's pro-Canada campaign nor the push for separatism, according to the party president https://t.co/KxUfLQAzez w @mattscace67
There are plenty of prominent Conservatives who have realized that this moment demands something more than the same recycled, hyper-partisan talking points.
The Member for Calgary Nose Hill doesn’t appear to be one of them.
When asked if she will actively campaign for Alberta to remain in Canada, Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner says she has been actively campaigning for the last ten years- ever since the federal Liberals began actively campaigning against Alberta.
I think folks are blaming her for being a weak leader and calling an unnecessary referendum that puts the country at risk and, indeed, everything she has been ostensibly been trying to achieve.
My take on the candidates, in random order:
a) Eby’s dream candidate;
b) Experienced and ready to win;
c) Comes across as though they don’t believe their own words;
d) Perfectly unexciting, which might be a good thing against Eby;
e) Energized and ready to win.

@rmohamed_yow She also lost a reliably Conservative federal riding (my old home riding). Other than when it went Liberal under an immensely popular Gordie Hogg, it’s been basically a sure blue thing. Not exclusively her fault, of course, but not exactly inspiring.
@rmohamed_yow A few reasons. Of the five, I think she’s least capable of speaking to old BC Liberals in general. I also think it’s an easy opening for all the insane stuff Chapman said to hit the news again — and stick to her more than it did Rustad, for obvious reasons. (1/)
