@hampdenroarpod Utterly gutless once again. Groundhog day.
Zero ambition to win the game or even score a goal. Other teams with lesser players seem to be able to score or attack or create chances
What is our plan to score a goal or progress the ball forward? We don't have one!
Clarke Out!

Heat pumps are the most efficient heating technology ever invented.
They harvest and compress pre existing heat in the air, ground or water and transport it where it is needed.
That energy is all around us.
And it does not have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
Whatever one thinks of Zionism during its formative years, it is today indisputably a totalitarian movement.
Anyone, of any background, who steps out of line, anywhere on the planet, is immediately defamed, delegitimized, and demonized.
In unison, an army of flunkies will go after you, your work, your family, even your citizenship. Campaigns are launched to get you silenced, fired, imprisoned, and deported.
Whether you are an individual, an institution, or even a country, everyone is expected to boycott and sanction you if you express even the slightest criticism or dissent.
But if you call for Israel to be boycotted and held accountable for its actions, these suddenly become the most illegitimate tactics ever conceived.
Amazing but true…. Even if all the electricity powering a heat pump was generated from gas, it’s so efficient it uses a lot less gas than a boiler!
And an electric car powered by electricity from gas uses less fossil fuel energy than a petrol car… ELECTRIFICATION IS AMAZING
and ofc once you have heat pumps and electric cars you are not stuck with fossil fuels, you can use any source you like for the electricity. Only 2/3 of people can charge an EV at home, but no one can with petrol. Solar panels will charge cars and power heat pumps. But gas boilers and petrol cars are totally dependent on the horribly unreliable global fossil fuel market.
Ofc, the fossil lobbyists know this which is why they use their astonishing wealth and influence to make people hate EVs and heat pumps
Not a study, not a survey - but the actual live data from every @OctopusEnergy Cosy heat pump installed in real homes is now online.
And it shows that over 80% of Cosy heat pumps were cheaper to run than a gas boiler over the last year and delivered a COP of 3.7 over the whole year (about 4.3x more efficient than a gas boiler)
There’s so much disinformation from fossil fuel lobbyists on heat pumps - and anecdote based on bad installs or out of date tech - but we hear time and time again how much Octopus customer la love their heat pumps.
Cosy heat pumps can run as hot as a boiler (70C+), can often be installed with no radiator changes and no new insulation, work with microbore piping, can often retain your old hot water tank if you have one.
But so much more - comfort sensors in up to ten rooms, optional remote support and servicing, software updates to literally make your heating better without a visit. Effortlessly working with smart tariffs to save money.

“A wake up call” the CEO of Britain’s biggest domestic energy firm told me last night about the possibility of long term impact to global gas and oil infrastructure… but he pointed to electrification as the main lesson, while domestic gas would be preferable to shipped gas: “wake-up call that gets us to electrify more of our economy and get more of our energy from homegrown sources.” "The irony is, right now, we're emailing millions of customers saying their energy prices are going to fall..." "You can't protect yourself against these global markets forever." "Traders are really worried about how long it's going to take these facilities to get back online." "Our electricity system's too inefficient. We need to reform that markets so that people get the benefits of our homegrown resources." “my own view is that shipping gas around the world is more inefficient and has more leaks of methane than if you use local gas. But we shouldn't kid ourselves. North Sea gas wouldn't meaningfully bring the price down because we're paying the global price. If we got more out of the North Sea, it would simply be sold to other countries at these very high prices or here at these high prices. And we can't kid ourselves we're going to be self-sufficient in gas again. What we can do is have a much cheaper approach to electricity than we have today. Our electricity system's too inefficient. We need to reform that markets so that people get the benefits of our homegrown resources.
Almost 400 billionaires and millionaires from 24 countries have signed an open letter urging leaders to increase taxes on the world's wealthiest people.
The letter released to coincide with the Davos economic summit has been signed by well known names including the actor Mark Ruffalo and the musician Brian Eno. They say that a "handful of global oligarchs with extreme wealth" have "cost everyone else everything else" and are driving society towards breakdown.
"It can't be overstated that they've not been convicted of anything."
A NHS doctor has said that the hunger strikers detained for months for alleged involvement in Palestine Action raids are on a "trajectory that ends with death".
On Novara Live, @michaeljswalker dissected the story, and said that the government's response to the hunger strikers should be a "stain" on its record.
“What is called splendour of the throne is no other than the corruption of the state. It is made up of a band of parasites, living in luxurious indolence, out of public taxes.”
Paine as quoted by @Will___lloyd in his superb @NewStatesman cover essay.
Republicanism should be an emotional, even romantic idea, and it’s a mistake to fall into arguments about tourism and security costs.
Is it right that a man influences government, is owed allegiance by the military and police, because of who is parents were?
The answer should be obvious.
My brave friend @NoaAvishag Schnall talks about her ordeal at the hands of the IDF, kidnapped in international waters, beaten (just look at her black eye) and threatened with rape:
"I was hung from metal shackles on my wrists and ankles and beaten in the stomach, back, face, ear and skull by a group of men and women guards. One of them sat on my neck and face, blocking my airways. During the evening the men were tormented by the guards with attack dogs and guns. The women were threatened by pepper spray. Our cell was awoken by threats of rape... We were put in wrist and ankle shackles."
"Imagine what they are willing to do to Palestinians if they're willing to do that to us."
