Nigerians, hypocrites! Things aren't as bad as they say; they live comfortably with an improved standard of living. They complain too much while their cups are full and their bellies are satisfied. They handle their bills and pay rent with ease. The salary an average Nigerian earns is enough to secure their future. Maybe there's no insecurity, and all the news is just a façade.

Nigerians live so comfortably yet claim they are suffering. An average Nigerian’s mental health is very stable; they have nothing to worry about.

Nigerians, liars! You don't live in poverty; you just don't want the outside world to know you live too comfortably. Fuel price volatility doesn't affect you one bit, and you pay no attention to the “bad economic situation” or the “bad governance.”

You are happy to pay ransom to the kidnappers terrorizing you. As a matter of fact, you grin with a smile while handing it over.

Maybe the situation is not so bad after all. You get carried away with trivial things and cheap dopamine, which is why you smile even as things plunge the country’s economy into inflation. When people can laugh in hunger, joke in fear, and dance through inflation, outsiders begin to think the pain was exaggerated all along.
