@SawyerMerritt@Tesla Hey Sawyer, this is a little late but can you share where you got those numbers? I couldn't find any reference to it in the Q4 earnings transcript or slide deck. Anecdotally it feels right because that place is always packed, but I'd like to know the source of the numbers. Cheers
@TJTheWheelDeal I replace my Model Y tires every 50k. All-season Michelin Pilot Sports.
Teslas weigh as much as ICE cars, so unless you are flooring it literally every chance you get, your tire life should be similar.
@Matija15826682@drcraigwax@elonmusk Jesus was not born on Christmas. Christmas is a pagan holiday. Pretending jesus has any place in our winter festive traditions has been a way to appease Christians. Let's go back to celebrating with presents and festivities, before jesus had anything to do with it.
Our founding fathers would disagree with you lol
Our founding fathers, many of which were not Christian, ALL agreed that the country would not be founded on Christian doctrine. The US is - according to our founding fathers - not Christian.
If you want Christmas to be a religious holiday, then "Happy Holidays" is correct for your fellow Americans. But if you're like me and accept Christmas for the pagan holiday that it is, then sure "Merry Christmas" is just as fine.
I actually prefer that. Ignore the weird jesus stuff and instead wish everyone a merry Christmas. 🙂
Happy birthday to this legend. We had an incredibly productive yet insanely fun last few days thanks to him. An amazing mentor and great friend. Love you long time @realMeetKevin
@ElijahSchaffer Pretty sure that same value ($5000 in 2024 money) gets you a lot more fridge than it used to. This is definitely cool but I think it's gotten better for cheaper.
100 years ago you'd be looking at closer to 80-100 hours per week. It wasn't until 1926 that Ford introduced the 5-day work week.
Regardless, my point isn't about the outcome but rather the motive to innovate, which is simplifying and removing work. That's why innovation has an exponential curve rather than a linear curve; innovation frees up time, and then we choose to fill that time with more innovation. You could be in "poverty" today and never work yet still live a life that would have been considered luxury just a few of centuries ago.
@notacapulet@vohnvest@MissJilianne If the alternative to handouts is artificially keeping obsolete jobs for the sake of having jobs, then handouts makes more sense. In neither case are you actually contributing to society so just take the handout.
