i couldn’t agree more that the person you love reflects how you love yourself. it’s disheartening that they even tolerated the bare minimum. i'm so glad i wasn’t the one. i wasn’t chosen. i'll make sure you’re no longer be part of my life.

that night, while talking to that person, i realized it was better this way. the rejection happened for a reason — it redirected me toward something better. i feel bad because we both knew things would never change.
