Curmudgeon, introvert, loner. Full of lots of love for my dog. Ex-Republican, now Independent. Pretty much just waiting to die and escape the depression.
1) The past few days including the tragic deaths of Iryna and Charlie, coupled with my rapidly deteriorating health, have caused me to spend a lot time reflecting on god and religion. I have been deeply and severely depressed about life.
I rejected the ideas of god and religion when I was very young. My parents used to take us kids to Episcopalian church when we were little. I’m sure I was no more than five years old when I smelled a rat and really hated going to Sunday school.
I have not attended church since the funeral of a friend back in the 1990s. It has never made sense to me.
Back in the day there were the Pinkertons, they did investigations and even arrests.
They were a private company.
Since we the people have already taken over the part of investigating exposing fraud, maybe we just need to create something like the Pinkertons to arrest the criminals. Since no one in any law enforcement agency seems to be capable of arresting actual criminals.
Just me spit balling over here.
