"When I was a young graduate student, Carl Stokes told me 'In Cleveland, change comes in inches.'" Chris Ronayne sharing knowledge on Cleveland history @musicboxcle
Newspapers as nonprofits = a concept w/ real merit. An independent press is a key check on gov't & many other forms of power. It's under threat from market forces & even our nation's highest office. Lenfest gave his fortune to ensure a free press: RIP & TY

@jmunderwood64@ESPNCleveland I don't agree that one game qualifies as "master" level choking. But he did have a horrible game that time around. Generally speaking, he was good in the playoffs.
Much talk lately about econ dev in #CLE & who is leading locally. It's impressive that @cwru is 33rd nationally (43rd globally) & tops in OH for US Utility Patents granted in 2017. (OSU is 20 slots behind CWRU). @chrisronayne@inthecircle

NEO should seek a UNESCO World Heritage site: 23 in US (1/2 are national parks), but none in OH or Great Lakes. Cuy. Valley Nat'l Park/Towpath Trail seems an ideal candidate: natural beauty + cultural significance. @canalwaycle & @TheCLE what do you think?

.@troylsmith Enjoyed your piece on Nautica Stage! One note: Green Day did NOT play the show there in July 1994. So many people showed up (the show was free) that there was basically a riot to get in and police shut things down before GD could perform.
