If the corporations are the target, why were Apple and other electronics manufacturers excluded in the last couple days, but if I want to get a CNC for less than $15,000, I’m going to pay the tariff if I import a Chinese made CNC. Mind you that I’m not a corporation, I’m just a guy trying to get some home made products developed… seems like select corporations are getting special treatment, but startup costs for “American Industry” is 240% if you need a production device from China compared to a couple weeks ago.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this doesn’t sound like it targeting corporations.
And, I’m not saying necessarily that I disagree with the tariffs model, but we should speak about it like it is. And if Apple gets a break, I think this is a massive L. People who are trying to start a business get hammered with over 140% tariff on any startup costs for devices shipping from China. If I have to pay the tariff for a CNC machine, we should all share in this equally. And if that means iPhones cost double or a quarter more, I don’t care.

And it’s not 25%. It’s over 140%.
