“I have been to Bishop David Oyedepo’s church for like 19 times. I witnessed two women give birth to twins and triplets and they didn’t have a womb and they were over 60 years old. Doctors were even there with X-rays to confirm.”
— American Pastor says.
How to Meditate on God’s Word
Many people get confused about what it means to meditate on the Bible. It is not about emptying your mind or repeating words without thinking. Biblical meditation means filling your mind with God’s truth and thinking about it deeply.
In Book of Joshua 1:8, God told Joshua to meditate on His Word day and night. Similarly, Book of Psalms 1:2 says that a blessed person loves God’s law and thinks about it all the time. This shows that meditation is important for growing spiritually.
To meditate, start with a small piece of Scripture. Don’t rush through many chapters. Pick one verse and focus on it. Read it slowly, even out loud, and read it several times. Think about every word.
Next, ask yourself what the verse means. Ask: What is God teaching me? What does this show about Him? What needs to change in my life? Meditation is not about reading fast, it is about understanding deeply.
Then, turn the verse into prayer. Talk to God about what you learned. If it talks about forgiveness, ask Him to help you forgive. If it talks about trust, ask Him to strengthen your faith. This makes the Word move from your mind into your heart.
Throughout the day, return to that verse in your thoughts. Reflect on it while walking, working, or resting. This is what it means to meditate “day and night.” You are allowing God’s Word to stay with you and shape your thinking.
Meditating on God’s Word changes you from the inside out. As you think on His truth daily, your mind is renewed, your heart is softened, and your life begins to reflect Christ more clearly.👌
The Holy Spirit is Our Friend 🥰
One day, I was very hungry and feeling really sick. I had a bad headache and was so tired that I wanted to sleep. But I couldn’t sleep because I was too hungry, and I was all alone at home. I dragged myself to the kitchen, peeled some yam, and put it on fire. After that, I returned to my room.
The moment I lay down, my eyes began to close. I was so weak. But with the little strength I had, I whispered a prayer to the Holy Spirit “Please wake me up when the yam is ready. I don’t want it to burn, and I can’t stay awake to watch it.” And just like that, I dozed off.😅
A few minutes later, I suddenly heard my name very clearly. I woke up and looked around, wondering who called me. Then I remembered the yam! I rushed to the kitchen, and just as I had asked, the water had dried up and the yam was perfectly cooked not burnt. I smiled and remembered what I said to the Holy Spirit. He really did wake me up. He called my name! The Holy Spirit is truly a friend who cares. 🥰😍
What is your own experience with the Holy spirit?
In my few years walk with the Lord Jesus, I have never seen a time that a young generation had sought to read godly books like what we are seeing in the campuses. This can only be the work of the Holy Spirit. He has touched their hearts.
Alpharians, let’s thank the Lord for using us in strange ways for His purposes. The impact of the youth reading these truths in the books will take effect some few years to come. The nation shall greatly benefit from this. We will have a better society with responsible youth.
