When Roland Fryer sought to improve 20 struggling Houston schools, he implemented five practices: more instructional time, high-dosage tutoring, frequent teacher feedback, data-driven instruction and a culture of high expectations.

The results were extraordinary.

In math, elementary students gained four additional months of learning each year; secondary students gained nearly eight months in a nine-month school year. Every graduating senior in the high schools was admitted to a two- or four-year college.

The Boston Globe has just published a shockingly sober article about the nonexistent genocide supposedly targeting the transgender community.

In it, they cite a report I coauthored showing that the murder rate is actually lower for trans-identifying people than the general population. Our report was responding to the HRC's annual reports pushing the narrative that there is an ongoing "Epidemic of Violence" against the transgender community.

The reporter says he "offered the Human Rights Campaign's key researcher, the transgender woman Charleigh Flohr, or anyone else with the organization an opportunity to rebut the Manhattan Institute finding, but they didn't reply to me."

That's unsurprising because the HRC is engaging in fundraising propaganda. They don't care about the truth, only promoting the narrative.

Victor Davis Hanson is not Jewish. He is a renowned American classicist, military historian, author, and senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution - making his fact-based defense of Israel all the more significant.

In one of his recent interviews, Hanson gave a fascinating analysis of four accusations repeatedly made against Israel - apartheid, settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.

His conclusion was clear: These slogans collapse when confronted with historical facts.

Apartheid?

Approximately two million Arab citizens live in Israel with the right to vote, serve in parliament, study at universities, practice their religion, and participate throughout Israeli society.

Meanwhile, many of the countries accusing Israel of apartheid officially privilege Islam and severely restrict religious conversion, minority communities, and basic freedoms.

Settler colonialism?

The Jewish connection to the land of Israel is supported by nearly 4,000 years of historical, archaeological, linguistic, and biblical evidence.

The Jewish people did not arrive in their ancestral homeland as foreign colonizers. They returned to the land from which foreign empires had repeatedly expelled them.

Meanwhile, Arab armies conquered enormous portions of the Middle East and North Africa. The Ottoman conquest transformed Hagia Sophia - once the greatest church in Christendom - into a mosque. Yet those historical conquests are rarely described as settler colonialism.

Ethnic cleansing?

Where were the demonstrations when Turkey expelled Greeks from northern Cyprus and moved Turkish settlers into the occupied territory?

Where was the outrage when Azerbaijan drove more than 100,000 Armenians from their ancestral homes in Nagorno-Karabakh?

Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Zohran Mamdani were remarkably quiet.

Genocide?

When Israel was established, approximately 170,000 Arabs remained within the country. Today, around two million Arab citizens live in Israel, and the Arab share of its population has increased rather than disappeared.

Genocidal regimes do not cause the population they supposedly seek to eliminate to grow dramatically in both number and proportion.

As Hanson explained, many of those accusing Israel are projecting the sins of their own nations, movements, and histories onto one tiny, democratic Jewish state.

Why is Israel judged by a standard applied to no other nation?

The answer is becoming painfully clear - because Israel is predominantly Jewish.

Accusations may travel quickly, but historical facts still matter.

The Palestinians are not angry because Jews prayed. They are angry because the camera refused to lie about whose mountain it is.

Last night, @itamarbengvir and tens of thousands of Jews filled the Western Wall plaza for Selichot, the same stone retaining wall that held up the Temple compound more than a thousand years before Muhammad was born and more than a thousand years before anyone poured the first foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

That wall is not a polite neighbor of the mosque. It is what is left of the Jewish Temple Mount. The plaza is not “too close.” It is the foot of the site.

That is the line that never appears in the Telegram and Twitter meltdowns. They will tell you the scandal is that Jews dared to gather in the thousands near Al-Aqsa. They will not tell you that Jewish prayer at that mountain predates the mosque, predates Islam, and predates the entire political story they built on top of it.

The history did not start in 1967, and it did not start in 638. It started with a Temple 3000 years ago. Everything else arrived later and then demanded exclusive title.

The UN can find its voice the moment a Jewish army fires back. It loses that voice the moment Arabs bury Arabs.

Then a Yemeni named Luai Ahmed @JustLuai gets ninety seconds and asks where Yemen’s flag is, after half a million of his people died in ten years in a famine the Council treated as weather. He asks where Sudan’s flag is after more than a hundred and fifty thousand killed in less than two years. He asks where Syria’s flag is after another half million. He asks why nobody protests when Arabs kill millions of Arabs.

Those deaths did not lack cameras. They lacked a Jew to blame.

The same report that names Israel one hundred and eighty-eight times cannot find room to name Iran even once, even though Iran armed, trained, and paid Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis who spent their treasure firing at Israel instead of feeding Yemen.

Qatar sits on the Human Rights Council while it puts Hamas’s leaders in luxury hotels.

That is not a footnote. That is the institution telling you which corpses it is willing to count.

I’m tired of the fact that the main protagonists supporting and cheerleading for the destruction of my country, the small and only Jewish state on the planet, are themselves currently the biggest colonizers in human history, and countries who still occupy and colonize land far from their own countries, yet feel they have some kind of right to dictate to us if and how we can defend our one and only home that we have lived on, continuously, for 3500+ years.

Britain still claims and rules over 14 overseas territories. Anguilla, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory (Chagos), British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, Saint Helena / Ascension / Tristan da Cunha, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia on Cyprus, and Turks and Caicos.

France still holds a much larger overseas map, and it does not call most of it colonies. Five places are full overseas departments, meaning they are legally France. Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, and Mayotte. Then come the collectivities and special territories of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Wallis and Futuna, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, and Clipperton. New Caledonia and French Polynesia are still on the UN decolonization list. The combined population of overseas France is about 2.9 million.

Spain still holds the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, and plazas de soberaní.

Then we have Islam and the Arabs. They started as a small cult in Saudi Arabia. Today they rule over almost the entire Middle East and North Africa. And yet they still want our one single tiny home because what they have isn’t enough.

All the violence and terror and destruction and wars against us may be instigated and fought by Muslims from the region, but make no mistake, they are funded, supported and protected by Britain, France, and Spain.

It is no coincidence that Socialism was born in the same Europe that spent centuries planting flags on other people’s land. Socialism did not fall out of the sky in some oppressed colony. The word itself shows up in Britain in the late 1820s among Robert Owen’s followers, and in France a few years later around Saint-Simon, Fourier, and Pierre Leroux.

And today we see the Democratic Socialists of America working to tear down the United States and western civilization using that same ideology as the one tearing apart Britain, France and Spain and so many other western countries. And it is no coincidence that we find Muslim Mayors in NYC and other American and western cities who are also socialists. Several Palestinian groups were socialist/communist/Marxist.

The Red-Green alliance is stronger than ever, and it is in full jihad mode against the west. The west in turn is just sitting back and watching doing nothing to stop it. That is a choice for the west to make. But Israel will never stop fighting to defend itself and its people, and we will NEVER apologize for doing so. We don’t owe anybody an explanation. We don’t need to justify our existence. Jews were around long before all of them. Thousands of years before.

In this war, they have the numbers. We’re a small nation. A small religion. But we’re the original people of our land, the indigenous people, and we are the original religion. Both Christians and Muslims pray to our prophets. Jewish prophets. They weren’t Christian. They weren’t Muslim. They were Jewish. And that’s why they want to eradicate us. Because that history started with us long before they were even an idea. We are the ONLY ones that never used force to convert people.

The hope inside Israel, she says, was that Gaza would become the Singapore of the Middle East. What arrived instead was Hamas taking the economic chance off the table, winning an election a few months later, and then killing the people who would not submit.

When the West says “occupation” as if 2005 never happened, play an Arab Muslim Israeli who was fifteen when the experiment started. She does not need Pappé’s method. She was there for the test case. Gaza was given the keys. Hamas chose the fire.
