The slopulism of Jacobin, especially in this review, is so much defined by resentment for anything that makes you think. Digger criticizes the pacifying stories that we tell ourselves to evade responsibility, but that message makes Jacobin’s own infantile narratives culpable too.
Iñarritu might have lost the studio 150 million, garnered the rejection of the critics and lost most of his pull in the industry, but today he gained something more important: my approval.
