Thank you to the 30,000 Canadians who have joined Allies for a Strong Canada in the last 18 months.
We are excited to see so many Canadians standing up to defending the values and traditions that has made Canada so great.

CJPME is deeply concerned about the widespread racism that has ensued following Prime Minister Carney's announcement of a new Ministerial Advisory Council on Rights, Equality, and Inclusion. We condemn the attacks on former Minister Omar Alghabra, who is facing smears from extremist pro-Israel voices, including Israeli news outlets, who are attacking his Muslim faith and Arab background, and demonizing his support for Palestinian rights. These attacks demonstrate the intertwined use of Islamophobia, anti-Arab racism, and anti-Palestinian racism, and are attempts to exclude Arab and Muslim voices from national conversations on racism and hate. These attacks must be firmly rejected by Prime Minister Carney and Minister Miller.
@TrainorCarol127@thealliescanada@DominicCardy The criticism is of the political decision that was made. There is nothing mandatory or even inevitable about a deal between the RCMP and the Chinese government. That it has been kept secret only demonstrates a fear of scrutiny of the decision.
First off, stringing up effigies of people is morally repugnant. Second, two of those people are, in fact, Jews.
What is unhelpful (and shameful) is people like Rachel who justify and legitimize this disgusting mon behaviour.
I think it’s really unhelpful that politicians of all political stripes are characterizing effigies of Ben Gvir, Netanyahu and Trump (??) as “effigies of Jews.”
This was clearly an act of protest against the architects and key players perpetrating a genocide, and it’s dishonest and problematic to characterize the effigies as being tied to religion.
The RCMP is refusing to release the secret policing agreement it signed with China's Ministry of Public Security. Their reason? They need Beijing's permission.
This is the same agency linked to illegal police stations on Canadian soil, intimidation of diaspora communities, and transnational repression against people living in here.
The RCMP won't answer to politicians. It's time for them to answer to Canadians.
Allies has published an open letter to the Minister of Public Safety demanding the immediate and full public release of this agreement.
And we're asking you to add your name: https://t.co/rUHSeX1lkE
Secrecy is not a safeguard. Transparency is.
A Happy Victoria Day to everyone. As we celebrate the Queen of Confederation, the occasion serves as a reminder that this country didn't happen by accident - and it won't survive by accident either.
Enjoy the long weekend. And remember what made it possible.
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is importing foreign conflicts into Canada.
The 'Nakba' exhibit is feeding controversy and strife - and using taxpayer dollars to do it.
Our nation's museums aren't a recruiting tool for radical protestors to push their political agenda.
Most Canadians remain deeply concerned and suspicious of the Government of China. No doubt they would be horrified to learn about these secret deals. All the more reason they must be made public. We have to right know how our national police force is colluding with a hostile foreign power.
As China continues to interfere in Canada, the RCMP refuses to release terms of their secret agreement with Chinese Police.
When questioned by MPs about what is in the MOU, Deputy Commissioner Bryan Larkin says the RCMP needs ‘permission’ from China before sharing the details with Canadians.
Do you think the Canadian public deserves to know exactly what our government is sharing with the CCP?
"People are trying to do what they're doing."
Celebrating and promoting the enemies of Canada and the West, sir. That's what they are doing. Calling for the extermination of people they don't like.
The first line of the Oath police officers swear is to be loyal to Canada. And yet.
Officer stops my videographer to warn that people are bothered by his presence:
“People are trying to do whatever they’re doing— why is it that other people have to interfere? We don’t have to agree on stuff.”
Except peacefully recording a public demonstration, particularly behaviour that’s clearly a matter of public interest, such as setting off smoke canisters while passing patio diners, does not infringe on protesters’ rights.
If anything, protesters were attempting to stifle our ability to report on their public activities, which raises concerns about limiting expressive freedoms.
The officer says, “I’m here to make sure that everyone is peaceful, that’s it.”
My videographer replies, “I’m here to make sure I get the best shot of the smoke bombs.”
The officer shoots back, “And what does that do for you? Nothing. Absolutely nothing, does it?”
So what do you say, folks?
Is there value to documenting what’s happening on Canadian streets?

My take used to be if I wasn't going to consume media from people I disagree with I would probably read, watch and listen to very little. I read, watch and listen to be entertained and not because I particularly care about the hot takes of actors and musicians on the cause du jour.
This is different. @jenniferhedger is right.
Thank you, Sam!
We need more investigative journalists informing Canadians on what their leaders are doing in public and more importantly behind closed doors.
If you have not yet, take a look at @thealliescanada featuring of my reporting that led to the recognition of a new group fronted by current and former Canadian senators, as a CCP linked entity. I have met with leadership of Allies for a Strong Canada and I determined that they recognize the same vulnerabilities in Canada’s democracy that I have become expert on, and they are enlisting Canadians that want to participate in a democratic process to counter foreign state influence and threats from China. Check it out and do your own research. More important than ever to find functional ways to participate in democracy in Canada.
Let me help with this - if Hezbollah disarms the people in Northern Israel won't have to worry about their children being murdered by Iran's proxy army in Lebanon.
Anita's goal is to build capital in Brussels and Beijing.
Don't be like Ted.
The CBA is scolding an unnamed journalist for criticizing a judge, calling it a "crude effort at undermining public confidence in the judiciary."
Since this is clearly about me: I will not apologize for my column about Justice Faisal Mirza two weeks ago.
I’ve just watched Palestine 36: So many people need a history lesson. October 7th wasn’t the start. It goes back a long long way. Imagine being a citizen to a place that lost status, sovereignty, human rights, freedom and land. And then for decades got hemmed in, encroached, destroyed and an appropriation of the land unchecked. Destinies of people who have lived there for generations completely torn up. Grief turns into rage. It would anywhere. But apparently it’s “antisemitic” to raise any concerns about this.
