For all of the false prophets claiming that Islam worships the same God as Christians the truth is that a system that affirms the existence of “the God of Abraham” while rejecting the Son’s divinity is not affirming the same God as the one revealed in the New Testament. It is affirming a different conception of God. The biblical warnings about angels (or any messenger) bringing a contrary message apply directly here: the content of the teaching is tested against the apostolic witness about Christ, not merely against shared monotheistic language.
Claims that both religions worship “the same God” often rest on continuity of the name or on shared historical roots (Abraham, Moses). Those continuities exist at the level of vocabulary and genealogy. They do not survive the New Testament’s insistence that the identity of God is now known through the Son. Once the divinity of Christ is denied, the claim of identity collapses under the Bible’s own criteria.
